Magtrack AS (“Magtrack”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is the data controller for personal data processed on magtrack.no.

This policy applies to all visitors and to anyone submitting information through:

  • Datasheet download forms

  • Job application forms

  • Contact forms

  • Any other voluntary submission on the website

SECTION 2 — What Data We Collect

2.1. Automatically collected data (via Squarespace)

magtrack.no is built and hosted on Squarespace, which automatically collects technical data such as:

  • IP address

  • Browser type & device information

  • Pages viewed and navigation patterns

  • Time and date of visits

  • Referring URLs

This data is used for site functionality, security, and basic aggregated analytics.

We have not added any custom tracking scripts.

2.2. Data you voluntarily provide through forms

A. Datasheet downloads

We may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Company

  • Optional project/message details

Purpose:

To deliver the requested datasheet and understand demand for our products.

B. Job applications

We may collect:

  • Contact details

  • CV, cover letter, portfolio

  • Other information you choose to submit

Purpose:

To evaluate and process your job application.

C. Contact forms

We may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Company

  • Message contents

Purpose:

To respond to your inquiry.

SECTION 3 — How We Use Personal Data

Currently, we use your data only for:

  • Responding to inquiries

  • Providing datasheets or requested resources

  • Evaluating job applications

  • Operating, securing, and improving the website

No marketing use today

We do not use personal data for marketing or advertising at this time.

Future marketing (not active yet)

We may offer newsletters or product updates in the future.

If so:

  • You will be asked for explicit consent

  • You can withdraw consent at any time

  • This policy will be updated

SECTION 4 — Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data under:

  • Consent — for forms, non-essential cookies, and future marketing

  • Legitimate interest — for responding to inquiries and evaluating job applications

  • Contractual necessity — when communicating in relation to a job application or potential collaboration

  • Legal obligation — where required by Norwegian law

SECTION 5 — Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions: Retained only as long as needed to respond.

  • Datasheet requests: Retained for internal analytics unless deletion is requested.

  • Job applications:

    • Successful applicants: retained according to employment law

    • Unsuccessful applicants: deleted within 6 months, unless otherwise agreed

  • Website logs: Retained by Squarespace per their policies

You can request deletion at any time (see Section 11).

SECTION 6 — Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your data for marketing.

Your data may be shared only with:

  • Squarespace (hosting provider)

  • Email service providers (if used in the future, only with consent)

  • Recruitment tools (if implemented later)

All processors follow GDPR requirements.

SECTION 7 — International Data Transfers

Squarespace may store data on servers located outside the EEA, including in the USA.

Transfers are protected through:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)

  • Additional technical and organizational safeguards

  • Request correction or deletion

  • Withdraw consent at any time

  • Object to certain types of processing

  • Request data portability

  • Lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet (Norwegian Data Protection Authority)

SECTION 9 — Cookie Policy

9.1. How cookies work on magtrack.no

magtrack.no uses the standard Squarespace cookie banner, which manages:

  • Essential cookies (required for site functionality)

  • Analytics/performance cookies used by Squarespace

  • User consent settings

We have not added any custom marketing or third-party cookies.

9.2. Types of cookies used

A. Essential cookies (always active)

Used for:

  • Security

  • Hosting stability

  • Core site features

Cannot be disabled.

B. Analytics cookies (Squarespace)

Used to understand how visitors interact with the site in an aggregated, anonymous manner.

9.3. Future cookies (not active yet)

We may add tools such as:

  • Google Analytics

  • Google Tag Manager

  • LinkedIn Insight Tag

  • HubSpot analytics or CRM

These will only activate if you give explicit consent through the cookie banner.

If new cookies are introduced:

  • Cookie descriptions will update automatically in Squarespace
